yes... he did!
He: barely could contain his excitement. didn't even stop for a picture. had to be pulled back by the driver so that mommy could get one more snapshot.
Me: could barely hold back the tears. didn't realize that it would still be dark outside. seriously? like really dark. couldn't stop counting the minutes until I saw his sweet face again.
12:02 p.m.
the first day was only a half-day (thank goodness)
He: didn't see me at the bus stop, wouldn't have known to get off the bus had it not been for me gesturing at the driver as he prepared to continue on.
Me: panicked and anxious to hold my baby. Isn't he too young for this? shouldn't he be home with me still? wondering how on earth time has gone by this quickly.
he LOVED it!
Aaawww! It'll be next year for me to send Matthew to school....mixed emotions for sure! I guess our job as parents is prepare them to slowly become independent.

Could these pictures be any more emotional? I got tears in my eyes watching him gladly get on the bus :-) What a big boy he has become!
To Alex: Way to go Alex! We love you and were so happy to see you, your brothers, mom and dad when we were in TN. We will try to see you real soon again!!! Love and a big hug to the new 1st grader!!!
